Explore the intricacies of urdhva dhanurasana (wheel pose) in this two-hour workshop with Jen Whitney. We’ll start by preparing the body for backbending with a one hour vinyasa flow, integrating key concepts along the way that we’ll use later.
The second part of the workshop delves deep into urdhva dhanurasana Ð designed to break down and free your wheel! We’ll investigate how shoulders, arms, core, legs, and pelvis all work together to create a stable, uplifting, and even therapeutic wheel pose. You’ll learn tools to take into every yoga class to make a backbending practice something you look forward to! Intermediate/Advanced variations will be available for those ready for a free-wheeling adventure.
Open to all levels, with the following requirements: Healthy shoulders, wrists, and back. Ability to practice wheel without the wall.
