What to do with some of the extra items that are lingering from your CSA this week?
Throw them into a yummy smoothie, and make yourself a filling and refreshing breakfast, snack, or addition to a meal.
You can substitute rice milk, juice, etc. for the home-made almond milk. I am using it up this week so it’s going in all my smoothies!
Play with the measurements. I put everything the Vitamix in in no particular order (the Vitamix can handle it). But if your blender is a little pickier, start with liquid and harder items.
– 1 bunch of salad greens from CSA
– Homemade almond milk
– 1 cucumber from CSA
– 1 peach
– 1/2 frozen banana
– 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
– Little bit of vanilla extract
– Dash of cinammon
Super yummy and filling. Don’t forget to chew as you drink!
