Today’s Juice: Christina’s Lunchtime Smoothie

Christina's Lunchtime SmoothieI am enjoying my smoothie today as part of my lunch. This one is perfect for those sweltering summer days when eating cooked food is particularly unappealing.


– 4-5 leaves of curly kale (stalks included)
– Homemade almond milk
– 1/2 frozen banana
– 1/2 peach fresh from the market (they are so delicious at the moment)
– 1 teaspoon chia seeds
– 1 teaspoon raw cacao nibs
– A pinch of cinnamon
– Optional: add some cucumber if you have some)

Mix in blender or Vitamix. Add more liquid if it’s too thick. Chill for 15-20 minutes.

Be sure to chew it well as you drink it.
