At Home Restorative Poses with Christina: Upavistha Konasana

Forward bends are a great way to quiet the mind. Their introspective nature help quell pesky thoughts, and help bring your focus to your body.

Sometimes they can be challenging, particularly for those with tight hamstrings, tight inner thighs, or sensitive lower backs. Today, Christina demonstrates a beautiful supported and restorative forward bend that even those with the tightest hamstrings can find relief in.

If you don’t have any “official” yoga props at home, fear not. Christina uses blankets, pillows, books and even a washcloth, to get you into this one. So round-up anything you can find, and let’s get the weekend started off right.

    Thanks for the reminder. I teach a gentle class on Sundays and very few of the students can get into UK. This Sunday I think I’ll have them grab bolsters and extra blankets and blocks and see what we can do. Thanks.
