The natural mobility of our neck and shoulder region make them the most vulnerable parts of the body in a vinyasa yoga practice. When there are physical imbalances in our shoulders and neck, the flow of prana through the nadis (energy channels) and chakras of the the heart center and throat can stagnate, slowing down blood circulation.
In this workshop, we’ll explore numerous ways to build stability in the shoulder girdle that allows for freedom of movement and prana. By understanding the anatomy of the neck and the shoulders and which poses cause the most strain, we can move into our rebalancing work, educated and ready to release through a carefully constructed sequence of asanas, meditation & pranayama.
