Check-in and Guided Meditation
After two successful Urban Meditators Workshops, join Lindsay Sullivan for our monthly Urban Meditators Check-in! Starting with a group discussion, Lindsay will lead the group through the guided meditation of the week, followed by a Q&A.
If you attended one of the first two workshops, this check- in can help you re-establish your goals and give you the opportunity to ask any questions that may have arisen during your practice. This class is also appropriate for those who did not attend the workshops – everyone from brand-new meditators to already seasoned practitioners can benefit from each other’s experiences on the cushion. The hardest part is showing up!
Over the course of months we’ll explore various meditations — from single-pointed concentration to subtle body; wisdom analysis to compassion; traditional Tibetan to modern integral — offering a well-balanced and informed practice so you can become the still-point in your own city.
ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a notebook and pen. Optionally, you can bring a recorder to take the guided meditations home with you. Try not to drink coffee or eat a heavy meal right before you arrive!
